So as the holiday season is dying down and I'm still unpacking the last of the boxes and getting this house organized, I was inspired to blog about the list of items I wish I had known to buy the first time I had moved out of my parents home the first time at 18 years old. When I was 18, I was a young mom to an infant, newly married to the father (now my ex-husband) and was working and trying to figure my way into college. I had lived at my parents house up until then and being in a Filipino household my mom did everything her way, which meant I didn't learn squat on how to care for my own until I had thrown myself into adulthood. When I rented my first apartment, it was a crappy ghetto one bedroom in a descent part of town that wasn't furnished.
